Woodstoves
The staff at Zillges Materials, Inc. is eager to assist you with your woodstove purchase. Many of us are experienced "wood burners" ourselves. Please understand that to accomplish an "overnight" burn, a firebox should have a capacity of at least 2.0 cu. ft. Also note that many of the highest heating capacities listed by the manufacturers may be very optimistic. Heating capacities are based on 8 ft. ceiling heights, moderate climatic factors, state of the art insulation throughout the home, and a fairly open home in which the air can travel without obstructions. In places, like Wisconsin, please consider the mid to low heating capacities listed. |
