Besides aesthetic features, you will learn some of the advantages and disadvantages of burning different types of fuel such as wood, propane, natural gas and pellet. In addition we will compare fireplaces, stoves, and inserts from yesterday and today. Cost $10, 2 persons $15

In this session you will learn the basics of heating with wood, including wood storage, drying, species of wood, and dispel a few old myths about burning wood in Wisconsin. High tech wood burning appliances and their usage will also be discussed, plus how heating with wood actually reduces the carbon footprint. Cost $10. 2 persons $15
